Keep or Sell?

July 21st, 2010 by mickey82

When your well trained star player has reached his peak of his career, usually age around 26-27yo, with his primary skills almost or has reached divine, we will always wonder should we keep him or sell him.
As we all know, if a player age more than 27yo, there will be skill drop and the market price of the transfer fee will go down.
So probably this will become a dilemma as if we keep, we will surely getting less profit or potentially losing money on the player, as not only on transfer fee but also their high wages.
If we sell, do we able to find the same replacement to maintain our squad strength?
Some will feel that the star player represent the current club status, after all the hard work of training throughout many seasons,
the player had gone through all the difficulties, happiness, frustration, enjoyment with the club just like we did as the manager or maybe this is the only way the club to maintain healthy financial status where the club must sell their star players in order to continue growth and perform at the highest level.
The club fans will always question the ambition of the selling club, do we want to win the title or just to train and sell only :P
So the choice is up to the manager of the club in charge, either to keep or sell their star player, is always for the good sake of the club in the long run :P

New Season New Hope

December 29th, 2009 by mickey82

When the new season starts to kick off, every manager of their team will have their own target to achieve beside from their own club fans expectation.
Every manager will hope they can do well in the league as well as in the cup.
Whether is gunning for the league title/promotion, top 4 finish, avoid relegation, winning the cup/progress as far as possible in the cup run, the most important is the whole process that makes its exciting throughout the season that bringing joy and excitement.
If last season is a disappointing 1, then this season will be another challenge to do better.
If last season is a great achievement, then this season will hope to exceed the expectation once again.
So what will be your goals this season?
Good luck and all the best in the upcoming new season :P

The Rising Star

December 9th, 2009 by mickey82

Usually in real soccer world, the rising star referring to a young player who emerged and becoming well known in international scene.
While in HT world, i would like to call the rising star as the young player emerged with great qualities who representing the NT.
One of the current rising star in Malaysia NT is Govinda Sangha from LaLa Utd FC :P
As the WC qualification seem to slip away after 3 consecutive defeats, the NT coach desperately calling up Govinda Sangha to turn the things around.
And to repay the faith to the NT coach, Govinda Sangha has played in the 6 NT qualification matches without any loses so far.
He has provided the NT squad another attacking option that previously seem lacking in the team.
But also sadly has to be said that the call up probably is too late to save the Malaysia WC campaign.
Anyway he is still the youngest lad in the current NT squad with great exciting future ahead of him.
And there will be more rising stars coming up soon in the NT :D
