When You Are Busy………

August 23rd, 2008 by goldfries

It’s been a long while since I posted something here in HTmy, life wasn’t like 5 years back when I just started playing Hattrick or a few years back when it comes to setting up HTmy.

Of late, I’ve been really busy with my schedule – it’s not an easy task, having a company to manage while attempting to maintain multiple blogs (Tech, Food, Events Listing, Personal and Hattrick). :)

So I thought, maybe I should write an article on how to cater to busy schedules.

Make this the standard setup

I’d like to highlight an important feature of Hattrick that many overlook – Make this the standard setup, found under your Match Orders page, just right above Tactics option. Using it is simple, just set your BEST team as how you normally would, and remember also to place decent substitutes just in case.

Once A Week Login

This is where I’m at currently. So which day is a good day to log in?

Here in Malaysia, I look at it this way

  • Thursday evening – probably easiest to get friendly matches set BUT training is not updated yet.
  • Friday late afternoon – training updates took place, also a decent time to get friendlies arranged.
  • Saturday noon – training and economic updates took place, you also get to do a youth pull and if he’s good enough you benefit him (it’s never a HER here) an extra week of training by allocated him a training space. Friendlies might be a little bit hard to acquire at this point at this point but it is still possible.
  • Saturday night – same like the above, just that the Europeans which is the bulk of Hattrick’s players come online and leaving your account online for a while could just get you the friendly match.

Yes, you read that right. Sometimes, just leaving your account logged on for a while could get you a friendly match as there will be players desperately looking for a friendly.

Twice A Week Login

I personally would log in on a Thursday evening to get a friendly and a Saturday noon to have a youth pull and set all my matches. Who care about friendly, fielding a player less still gets you the training. If you have substitutes set, the substitute will be replacing the injured or carded player.

It’s really rare to be so unlucky to have multiple players injured or carded in such a way that you end up fielding too few players.

Once A Fornight / Month

Refer to Make this the standard setup :P You can’t do much here, your training is halved but what else can you do?

Summary

Hattrick isn’t a game that takes much time. Just about 5 to 10 minutes a log in would be sufficient. Sometimes even less. :) Sometimes (I admit) it’s just plain lazy to log in laaaaa got other better things to do.

I remember the good old days where I would spend countless hours browsing for good deals and analyzing opponents. Nowadays it’s just a matter of login, set the team, log out – just to make sure my trainees get their share of training. After all, a manager still needs to show them who’s the boss.
