Dear HT Diary - Survivor, The Relegation Battle Begin

April 18th, 2009 by mickey82

Each season, when season coming near to the end, there are fierce battle on the relegation zone to avoid the drop. This season 25 is no exception as well with the remaining 3 matches to go. The 7th and 8th position will get the automatic relegation while 5th and 6th position will get the play-off with home advantage. Now let us look at the bottom of the league and see how the teams fare to survive?

In the Liga, there are 5 teams fighting for the survival which including 3 newcomers for this season, Junwei, belachan and Scorton Rovers as well as last season 5th place Exxon and the most surprising is last season Liga champion, checker, also fighting for the survival as well. In the early stage of the season, checker seem like looking for the drop, but now they seem able to make the last ditch to survice as checker currently lying in 7th position with 3points adrift of 6th place. Will checker experience able to secure them the play-off place starting with this weekend home match against relegation battle belachan that who win this match will increase their chances of surviving for sure. Bottom of the table Scorton Rovers look like have little chance to survive unless there are miracles in their last 3 matches as they are away to 2nd place kickaball this weekend. 4th place Exxon also far from secure as they will travel to 5th place Junwei and just leading by 2points above the play-off zone. So potentially the final position will be determined on the last match of the season for the strongest league, the Liga Perdana.

Moving down to div II.1, it seem the season probably over for last place Roving Wolves and 7th place sgi98football unless they can surprise their opponent with the upset wins. 4th-6th place teams are just a point gap and they will for sure fighting for the automatic secure spot in 4th place as is still up for grab in the remaining 3 matches which are among InvincibleX, BringItAwn and LiverBIRD FC.

Next is div II.2, also similar senario as div II.1, last place Fiorentia Viola look set for the relegation and 7th place PurpleStorm need to win at home against Fiorentia Viola to close the gap on 6th place and stand a chance to get the play-off position. Just 3 points gap between 4th place UnderWorld XI and 6th place JOHOR CALCIO with Old Spidey United in the 5th place.

For div II.3, the strongest league in div II, there are 4 teams fighting for the survival. They are H2 Utd, Badman Team, Ngap Sayot and Kota Damansara. Kota Damansara is in the last place, looking not good with the remaining 3 matches against the top 3 teams as Kota Damansara need the wins badly in order to survive. While the other 3 teams are just 1 points seperating them to get into 2 play-off spots only.

And lastly is div II.4, last place Temujin United will be relegated while 7th place ODC United will also nearing to the drop. 6th place ittutordotNET almost confirm the play-off spot while 5th place Air Itam United has outside chance to climb out of play-off zone.

This is my personal opinion on this post, sorry if I got bias or comment badly on any team as I hope I didnt. Also hoping this post will motivate those teams in the relegation battle to fight until the end of the season to avoid the drop. Feel free to give comment on your views/opinions.

Dear HT Diary - The Final Push For The League Title

April 10th, 2009 by mickey82

As the current season 25 near to the end with remaining 4 matches to go and the Malaysia Cup just over with future Creation is the winner, now is time for the final push on winning the league title for those who are still in the title contention.
One horse, two horses, three horses or four horses race in your league that got a chance to win it? Let’s us glance through some of the leagues.

For Liga Perdana, it seem VycoTex remain as the favourite to win the title as they lead 8 points over their closest rivals, kickaball and PeeJay Reds but VycoTex still need to play both of them away. Unless VycoTex surprisingly lose another 2 home matches, else the Liga title seem to be within VycoTex sight.

Now moving to my league, div II.1, it seems a three horses race, with jeffrey piranha, KJ Brite and of course my team LaLa Utd FC :P
All three have the chance to win it but the holding key will be at LaLa Utd FC as if LaLa win all the remaining 4 matches including against jeffrey and KJ Brite, LaLa will win their 1st medal in div II. But this also same to jeffrey, another 4 wins mostly will send them back to the Liga while KJ Brite need 4 wins and hoping jeffrey to slip up in the final match between LaLa and jeffrey to stand a chance to win it as well.

Next the div II.2, badang fc seem to be the favourite as they lead 3points on their closest rival PROFEC and 6points on 3rd place DaGg3r Inc. badang fc also got huge goal difference advantage. But badang fc last 2 matches are to play against both of them therefore badang need to avoid any slip up on their next 2 matches in order to maintain their lead.

div II.3 seem to be tighest so far as ReDeviL United just lead the table on 21 points, just 1 point above his 3 closest rivals, Juujjuuj FC, codottcore, Liverpool FC (M) as all 3 have 20points and just seperated by goal difference on their league standing. So anything can happen although ReDevil United remain slightly favourite as just need to play 1 against his closest challenge out of 4 matches remaining.

Now we go to last div II which is div II.4, Accidental Mel United topping the table on 24points although just their 1st debut season in div II. Accidental Mel United still face some challenge in his last 3 matches against current 2nd, 3rd and 4th place opponents. The 2nd place Silver Road FC just 1 point behind and 3rd place Entropy Enigmas is 3 points behind the leader while 4th place tera tera is still 5 points behind but tera tera have the highest amount of goal difference meaning they got an effective attack that Accidental Mel United need to wary of.

Here are 2 of my selective div III which are div III.8 and III.10. On div III.8, last season Malaysia Cup winner Leonin9 FC is sitting top of the table on 28 points, following behind is Jefe United on 25 points and 3rd place is Asromastore on 22 points. As the next 2 games will be crucial for Leonin9 as he will play against Asromastore and Jefe. So if he manage to get 2 wins from them, the former cup winner will look set to promote to div II. But I think Jefe has his plan in mind to cause the upset.

Lastly for div III.10, Red East Devil look set for promotion to div II as they leading the way with 8 points gap as sitting comfortable on 28points.
Sorry as I not able to include all the div but you guys are welcome to give your league current status on the title race in the comment for those I miss out and others that I got mention or not, is also free to give your comments and views :P

Good luck to all in the final run towards the league title glory and also for those in fighting for the league survival :D
