Arsenal vs Man Utd (3rd Nov 2007)
November 2nd, 2007 by mickey82EPL biggest match so far as 1st place take on 2nd place. Both teams are in rich of forms, Arsenal still unbeaten after passing their 1st test at Anfield last Sunday with a 1-1 draw while Man Utd continue scoring 4 goals each in their last 4 matches. As predicted, this will be mouth watering match as both teams eager to show who is the best team in England of course. Will Arsenal young guns can mount serious be the title contender? Will Man Utd the red devils shows they are the champion class? Will this match decide who will win the title? Hmm… lets analyses both team 1st
Arsenal
———
Since the start, Arsenal has never looked back, winning 8 matches n draw twice where scoring in each matches. Previously, everyone write off arsenal as title contender because of selling their best player and also 1 of the best player in EPL, Thierry Henry. Also shown the exit door was Freddie Ljungberg, once the red hair gunners. With unknown players arrive such as Fabianski, Sagna, Diarra, Eduardo, the most concern is that who will replace Henry as the goalscorer who can hit 30 goals each season. The goals burden has been shared among the strikers, Van Persie and Adebayor plus Fabregas the midfield general who has score 10 goals this season. Fabregas is absolutely fabulous, can comparable with C.Ronaldo last season that bring Man Utd the title. Another player that currently on the peak form is Hleb, since his 10million pound transfer from stuttgart. Hleb vision and ability to keep the ball at his feet open the space for Fabregas to score. Flamini is also doing well, keeping Gilberto out of the starting 11. Moving from attack and midfield to the defense, Sagna the new signing has slotted comfortable in the right back, as Wenger switching Eboue to right wing for his attacking ability. With Clichy consistent, Gallas is back and Toure the rock, Arsenal has the all black defender line. Almunia is also reliable between the posts so far this season since taking over from fury Lehmann who makes mistake twice and also been drop. Arsenal currently is playing fantastic football, controlling the midfield and possession, even against Liverpool away from home still can get over 60% of possession.
Potential line-up: Almunia, Clichy, Gallas, Toure, Sagna, Flamini, Fabregas, Eboue, Hleb, Rosicky/Eduardo, Adebayor
Man to watch: Fabregas
Man Utd
———–
Man Utd from the start is the favourite to retain their title with the major summer signings. New boy Nani, Anderson, Tevez, Hargreaves cost the red devils over 60million pound. A poor start with C.Ronaldo getting 3 matches ban for his red card and Rooney gets injured again makes Man Utd defends their title with playing catch up games with their rivals. But with their solid duo Ferdinand and Vidic, Man Utd get back on winning with several 1-0 wins. Finally with Rooney back and combining well with Tevez, Man Utd seem getting back their form of scoring easily against their opponent with their attacking strike force consist of Rooney, Tevez, C.Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson. There is no doubt the best MU player now is Rooney, scoring 6 goals in his last 5 matches. Tevez is also playing extremely well since his move from West Ham. But so far, C.Ronaldo seem not playing as he used to be likes last season. Nani is impressed by his thunderbolt goal scoring and Anderson so far hardly impressed but will be given chances as Scholes is out with injuries. With Ferdinand is declaring fit, defensive line is strong enough with his patner Vidic and Hargreaves replacing injured Carrick as the cover to the back four. Man Utd got their balance squad and if they maintain their current form, the Red Devils should be on top of the table soon or by beating Arsenal at Emirates stadium in this match. Anyway Ferguson must be cautious as the gunners did the double win against them last season and this season arsenal is the team to beat so far to defend their title.
Potential line-up: Van der Sar, Evra/O’shea, Vidic, Ferdinand, Brown, Nani, Giggs/Anderson, Hargreaves, C.Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez
Man to watch: Rooney
So with just a quarter of matches played, I think this match is not the title decider match. The best result for both teams is a draw. But with home advantage for Arsenal and the loss of Scholes through injuries, I fancy arsenal can beat Man Utd again. Of course, I am pro on Arsenal as I am the gunners fan

Man U cites a number of possible injuries but they will be unfazed I think even with Arsenal’s team wondering if they’ve attained invincibility this season.
Don’t expect a repeat of previous seasons’ red card spree: Arsenal’s bad boys are gone and even Rooney has smothered his fire.
ESPN pundits seem to agree the match will be an even contest ending in a draw.
Me, I think Man U will snatch the win from one of the unusuals: Ferdinand? O’Shea? Fletcher?
If Arsenal win, it will be by a defensive error.

What an entertaining 2-2 draw. I thought it will be final score 1-1 draw as heading toward 70mins, both sides make defensive changes as Arsenal’s eboue, hleb and rosicky come off and replace by walcott, gilberto and eduardo while Man utd’s brown, anderson and tevez are replaced by o’shea, carrick and saha. But all of sudden, c.ronaldo score in 82mins. As not much time left, I thought it will be hard for the gunners to find the equaliser. Anyway thanks to man utd for again lack of concentration in the end of 90mins as the gunners never give up spirit until the final whistle earn themselves the vital equaliser and maintain their unbeaten run while still staying above of man utd. I only know gallas scored after seeing the video replay as the ball bounces few times between the goal posts. Credit to the gunners and man utd should have learn the mistakes from last season arsenal won 2-1 at emirates stadium scored in 83 and 90mins but still repeating it. Young guns, go all the way to become the new ‘invincible’ team

What a boring game, goals only due to sloppy defending and ping pong game all the other time… didn’t expect man u to play like that..

Gallas would have been relieved to put the money where his mouth was earlier in the week, but after meeting the two big Reds, Arsenal will feel they have a genuine chance of stamping their authority on the Premiership.
Let’s wait for Chelsea:)

Risky theme. I think you’ve hurt someone’s feelings, but what’s for me – I like it. No matter what they say if your opinion is true.
